The paint is as good as it gets great bill carving set in legs and original mallard curled tail feathers make this a collectors dream. Written on the right wing is the number of flying decoys Bill ever made four Mallard drakes and only one with the curly tail feathers one mallard hen and four bluebills for a total of 8 -on the left wing is Bills signature ,the Latin name for the mallard duck and the date carved 1953. The very tip of the left wing was broken and reattached .
