Possibly the finest matched gunning pair of humpbacked, beaver tailed pintails to ever come out of Crisfield in the last 100 yrs. This wonderful original paint circa 1918-1920 decoys, project the utmost in American folk art. The paint is bone dry with all the right signs of wear and rubs and paint loss ,that you would expect in a pair of decoys that were used many times over there long years of service. Ward decoys of this caliber have sold at auction and privatley for hundreds of thousands of dollars. This pair stands side by side with them.
